Maybe one of your resolutions for the new year involved traveling more, and so you’re now packing your bags, headed to Rome, Italy. But what is there to do in Rome during this time? What are the January events of Rome? Read on to find out more about the main highlights of the month in Rome. January Events of Rome: Exhibitions Visiting Rome in January is very convenient timing. For the first couple weeks, schools (and some workplaces) are closed, so you’ll experience less traffic than usual in the morning. This also means, however, that some touristy places will be a bit more crowded (nothing that some time management or our tours of Rome can’t solve!). Once schools open again though, you’ll find out that January is actually a really good time to tour and visit Rome. If you keep reading this article, you’ll see a list of January events of Rome that you can’t miss. Some are more family-friendly than others, and they’re definitely all worth a visit. Enjoy! Pixar: 30 years of animation – Palazzo delle Esposizioni. (Until January 20th) This exhibition that displays 30 years’ worth of Pixar’s animation is one of the January events of Rome suitable for all ages, especially those young at heart! For those who’ll go, on certain dates there are private screenings of movies: Wall-E on January 1st, and Up on January 8th. Tickets to the exhibition are €12,50. It’s possible to visit from 10am to 8pm on Sundays and Tuesdays to Thursdays; from 10am to 10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays; closed on Mondays. Palazzo delle Esposizioni is on Via Nazionale 194, which is close to A line metro stop Repubblica.
